Police teargas demonstrators to re-open Cairo street

Cairo, Dec 13 (Aswat Masriya) - Police forces fired teargas bombs to re-open Mostafa al-Nahhas Street in Cairo's Nasr City after a pro-Muslim Brotherhood march cut it off, the state-owned agency MENA reported on Friday.
Azhar students backing the Muslim Brotherhood cut off the road and hurled stones at security forces and a police vehicle while chanting anti-Interior Ministry slogans.
The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy had called for demonstrations on Friday to salute the student movement and its struggle.
Pro-Brotherhood students have been staging demonstrations at universities to demand the return of former President Mohamed Mursi to power and to denounce what they called "a military coup".
The clashes escalated during the past two days after the pro-Mursi alliance called for demonstrating in solidarity with university students, especially those at Cairo and Azhar universities.
