The Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh affirmed his country's respect for the Egyptian people's will and said that the backbone of Jordan's foreign policy is to avoid interfering in others' business and respecting the will of peoples.

"We have stressed our respect for the will of the people," the state news agency reported Judeh as saying.

The visits and communication between Egypt and Jordan stem from Jordan's interest to have stability and security in Egypt so that the latter can play its role, he added.

Judeh visited Egypt and met with Interim President Adli Mansour last Sunday.

King Abdullah the Second also visited Egypt on Saturday and met with Mansour.

"Jordan is always keen on backing national choices of the Egyptians," the king said.

All Egyptian political powers should work on a consensus to strengthen Egypt, its role and its status in the region, he added.
