Ministry of Justice investigates police crimes

The Ministry of Justice commissioned three judges to investigate four incidents where citizens were assaulted by policemen. The Human Rights Council asked for an inquiry a few days back.

The Human Right Council demanded the assignment of a judge to conduct independent investigations in recurring attacks on political activists.

The Human Rights Council reported different incidents of violations perpetrated by police forces. The Human Rights Council maintained that such attacks violate the dignity of Egyptian citizens.

The Human Rights Council provided a detailed account of attacks on Takadom Alkhatib, member of the National Association for Change, Khaled Al-Sayed, member of revolution youth coalition, Hagag Nayel, head of the Arab Program for Human Rights Activists, and Mohamed Faheem Suleiman, owner of a company in Mansoura.
