CAIRO, Dec 30 (Aswat Masriya) - Presidential elections must take place before parliamentary elections in Egypt, said Wafd Party president al-Sayed al-Badawi.

Badawi expressed his belief that presidential elections will precede parliamentary elections, adding that "it is difficult to have more than 15 thousand candidates ... contest the parliamentary elections in light of a group that seeks to ignite the nation and wreak havoc".

Egyptians must cast their votes in the upcoming constitutional referendum, Badawi said.

The constitution has articles that prevent the making of a ruling pharaoh, he stated.

Reconciling with the Muslim Brotherhood goes against the will of Egyptians and is impossible now, Badawi added.
