CAIRO, May 9 (Aswat Masriya) - Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a camp for peacekeeping troops in the Goura area in North Sinai on Friday.

The gunmen who were driving a Land Cruiser shot at a guard tower outside the peacekeeping troops camp, eyewitnesses told Aswat Masriya.

Security forces in charge of securing the camp retaliated by shooting at the attackers who managed to escape. No one was injured in the shooting.

Since the ouster of former President Mohamed Mursi, militants in Sinai have intensified attacks on security forces in North Sinai and later in South Sinai and other governorates.
