CAIRO, Dec 16 (Aswat Masriya) Tens of students who support the Muslim Brotherhood organized a march on Monday from Ain Shams University to the headquarters of the defense ministry, in light of commemorations of 2011’s cabinet clashes.

Violent confrontations between security forces and protesters by the cabinet headquarters in Central Cairo in 2011 led to the death of at least three people and the injury of over 200.

The students carried banners to commemorate sit-ins that were violently dispersed in August following the army’s ouster of the Brotherhood’s Mohamed Mursi from power, said MENA.

They chanted slogans against the army and police.

Egypt stepped up security at the defense ministry earlier and closed down the streets leading to the headquarters.
