CAIRO, Feb 5 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi said that the current cabinet needs a small-scaled reshuffle, in a press conference in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

The cabinet reshuffle might include three ministries, according to the interim prime minister.

Beblawi approved on Thursday the resignation of Ziad Bahaa al-Din, who was his deputy for international cooperation.

He said that Ashraf al-Arabi, Minister of Planning, is overseeing the functions of the International Cooperation Ministry on a temporary basis.

Reda Hafez, Minister of Military Production, passed away in December and his position remains vacant until now.

Beblawi said that there are two vacant positions in the cabinet and that there is a possibility that the Defence Minister position would be vacant as well.

He added, "If Defence Minister Abdel Fatah al-Sisi decides to run for presidential elections there would be three vacant posts."

Beblawi did not determine when these cabinet changes would take place.
