CAIRO, Jan 15 (Aswat Masriya) - The Egyptian government launched a website dedicated to Egypt's Economic Development Conference (EEDC) scheduled for March 13 - 15 in the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The website, dubbed "Egypt the Future", was announced by Egypt's ministry of planning on Thursday on its official Facebook page.
According to data obtained from web hosting company "Godaddy", the EEDC website was created on November 24, 2014. The web developer has leased the domain name until November 24, 2015.
The website contains an overview of the conference, the agenda, and guest speakers, in addition to links to Egypt's Central Bank and ministry of finance.
Egypt has long been campaigning for the EEDC among regional and international trade allies. The state strongly believes heavy participation in the conference would help in the recovery of an economy battered by political turmoil during the past four years.
