CAIRO, Sept 19 (Aswat Masriya) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi appointed former Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb assistant to the president for national and strategic projects, said the presidency on Saturday.

Mehleb submitted his resignation as Prime Minister on Sept. 12, amid a corruption scandal involving the former Agriculture Minister Salah al-Din Helal.

The new cabinet and new prosecutor general were sworn in today before al-Sisi at the Presidential Palace.
