President Mohamed Mursi met with Prime Minister Hisham Kandil and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim on Saturday evening to discuss the interior ministry's preparations to protect citizens and maintain security during the planned June 30 demonstrations.

Earlier today, Mursi met with Minister of Defence and Military Production Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to talk over the ministry's plan to secure vital and strategic state facilities, protect the people, and secure the borders, a presidential source told the Middle East News Agency.
