CAIRO, March 30 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian police have arrested members of the "Ansar al-Sharia in Ard al-Kenana" organisation which has recently carried out several terrorist attacks targeting security personnel, the interior minister said on Sunday in a televised press conference.
"The organisation included military cadres," Mohamed Ibrahim added.
The minister said that the defendants have confessed to committing 14 terrorist crimes, on top of which was the murder of Mohamed Obaid, National Security officer."
He added that the authorities have seized weapons that were in the possession of the accused.
