CAIRO, Jan 31 (Aswat Masriya) - The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy has called on its supporters to rally for one week starting Friday in order to commemorate martyrs.

The declaration of Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's intention to run for president "reveals treason", the Islamist alliance wrote on its Facebook page.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which is part of the coalition, had issued a statement to criticise the military council's stance regarding Sisi's candidacy for presidency in the coming elections.

It is now clear that what occurred on July 30 was a full military coup, the statement said.

The council is nominating its president, the coup leader, for president in order for the military to dominate political life in Egypt, the statement added.
