CAIRO, Dec 29 (Aswat Masriya) – Our daily roundup of headlines in Egypt's main state-owned and private newspapers on Dec. 29, 2016:

Al-Ahram:

- Al-Sisi during the inauguration of Ismailia, Port Said projects: No one is above law, from the President to the smallest official.

- Armed Forces destroy tunnel for smuggling weapons in Rafah.

- Supply ministry: Large discounts in strategic commodities prices soon.

- Manager at State Council detained for four days pending investigations.

Al-Akhbar:
