CAIRO, Jul 15 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt condemned on Friday the terrorist attack that took place in Nice, France on Thursday night, the foreign ministry said in a statement, adding that it is ready to cooperate with Paris to put a strategic plan against terrorism.

Approximately 80 people were killed and 18 more were injured when a truck ran them over as they were celebrating Bastille's day in Nice.

"Such cowardly terrorist actions, which do not differentiate between religions or nationalities, only aim for the destruction and intimidation of security, will increase the international community's strength and stiffness in combating the plague of terrorism."

The ministry added that Egypt stands next to France to in these difficult times, and "affirms its willingness to cooperate with them and with all peace-loving countries to develop a comprehensive and integrated strategy to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."
