CAIRO, June 6 (Aswat Masriya)- The Egyptian foreign ministry condemned on Monday the attack against the General Intelligence office in Amman and sent its condolences to the families of the victims.

According to Reuters, the militant attack left five people killed, including three security officers, a guard and a telecom employee. The attack targeted the General Intelligence office in Buqaa, the biggest refugee camp in Jordan.

The foreign ministry spokesperson said in a statement that Egypt stands in solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in its "fight against terrorism."

He urged Jordan to "take all the necessary procedures against violence and terrorism."

Jordan was among the countries that supported the military ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi after mass protests against his rule in 2013.
