Hundreds of residents in Cairo's Maadi area organized a march to declare their support for police and army forces on Friday, the state news agency MENA reported.

The demonstrators marched from Rayyan Mosque in Maadi.

They lifted pictures of army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim.
