A number of political forces and movements have called on Egyptians to rally on Friday, which marks the second anniversary of the January 25 revolution, to defend their demands.

The revolutionary forces said in a statement on Sunday that it is time for the people to revolt again; to defend the revolution and its legitimate goals and confront a group that has tried from minute one to hijack the revolution and manipulate history to its benefit.

The group, which includes the Dostour Party, the Popular Current Party, the Democratic Egyptian Party, the Freed Egyptians Party and the Dignity Party, accused the Muslim Brotherhood of wanting to hijack the nation's wealth even if that meant more suffering among the general public.

The group insisted that they will unite on the second anniversary of the popular uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak's regime against the "Muslim Brotherhood state" and the Brotherhood's attempts to rule alone which led to producing "an invalid constitution that does not guarantee economic or social rights."

It warned that the Brotherhood is trying to polarize the political scene and all of the state's pillars as if an uprising was awakened to replace Mubarak's tyranny and economic monopoly with a new one.
