Sisi to be sworn in as Egypt's president, govt to resign

CAIRO, June 8 (Aswat Masriya)  Egypt's former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will be sworn in as the country's president on Sunday.

Sisi won the presidential elections with sweeping votes of 23,780,104 (96.91 percent).

He will take the oath of office at 10:30 a.m. at the Supreme Constitutional Court.

The inauguration ceremony will be attended by interim President Adly Mansour, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and all the members of the current cabinet, in addition to political and public figures, according to the state news agency.

The government, headed by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, will convene to submit its resignation after Sisi takes constitutional oath into office.
