Ahmed Mekki, Minister of Justice said that the ministry started preparing for a project which allows freedom of access to information, noting that this law will be subjected to a broad societal dialogue before it is approved.

"Any law should be inspired by the will of the people". Mekki said, in a statement for a local newspaper on Sunday.

Mekki clarified that they will use all old projects in the presence of governmental representatives and journalists.

The minister of justice asked the journalistic community to maintain values, considering that a dishonest is not fit to be a judge, likewise a journalist who is dishonest is not fit to be journalist.

"How is it that a person who misrepresents the truth forms the consciousness of the nation? especially that a people without awareness cannot reach democracy" he said.
