Egyptian authorities arrested six people who were involved in an attack on a security checkpoint on Ismailiya-Cairo Road on Friday, reported the state news agency. 

The attack killed one policeman and a conscript and injured two others. 

Army forces arrested two of the perpetrators on Friday and the four others on Saturday. 

Four assailants, who are assumed to be extremists, were killed in the exchange of fire with army forces at the checkpoint. 

Authorities found arms in the vehicle of the suspects.
