CAIRO, June 17 (Aswat Masriya) Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said in a press conference on Thursday that Egypt is facing serious challenges that leave no space for failure or hesitation.

The press conference was held following a meeting attended by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to discuss a road map for the upcoming period after the new government took its oath of office.

Sisi, Egypt's former army chief, was sworn into office last week after a landslide victory of over 90 percent.

"We are entering a crucial phase that reflects the people's will... a phase where the challenges leave no space for failure, experimenting or hesitation," Mahlab said.

He added that every minister will be at work at 7 a.m. every morning as a gesture of a new era of hard work.

The prime minister stressed on the importance of confronting sexual harassment and "punishing every rapist".
