CAIRO, June 9 (Aswat Masriya) Newly elected President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has asked Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to form a new cabinet, Egypt's state television said.
An interim government appointed in February retired earlier on Monday following Sisi's inauguration in accordance with the constitution.
Two government sources told Reuters earlier that Mahlab would remain as prime minister under Sisi.
