CAIRO, Aug 26 (Aswat Masriya) - Two policemen were attacked and killed on their way to work in North Sinai's al-Arish city on Wednesday, reported the state news agency MENA.
The policemen were shot in the head and chest by unidentified assailants, reported MENA.
Bombings and shootings targeting security forces have surged inside Egypt since the military ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule.
The vast majority of attacks have taken place in North Sinai, although other parts of the country have been hit.
A blast in North Sinai on Sunday left at least two security personnel dead and three injured.
