ALEXANDRIA, June 28 (Aswat Masriya) An Alexandria court adjourned on Saturday the trial of rights lawyer and political activist Mahienour el-Masry to July 20.

Massry was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 50,000 Egyptian pounds in May for violating Egypt's protest law in December.

A member of the Revolutionary Socialists movement and winner of the Ludovic Trarieux Award for her contributions in the human rights field, Massry was arrested in April for a demonstration in solidarity with Khaled Said.

Said was tortured to death by the police in 2010, sparking an uproar that eventually exploded in January 2011.
