President Mohamed Mursi giving a speech - Reuters
Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi said on Wednesday that the rate of trade exchange between Egypt and Libya is too low and is not at the required level.
In a press conference with the head of the National Congress in Libya, Mohamed Al-Maqrif, Mursi asked for increasing the size of joint investments between the two countries and improving the Egyptian-Libyan relations.
He announced the activation of a joint economic committee between the two countries to facilitate running business between the two countries.
He added that the joint committee will include members of both Egyptian and Libyan governments to facilitate the traffic across the borders in the fields of energy, agriculture, investment, construction, industry, infrastructure and other sectors.
