Hundreds of former president Mohamed Mursi's supporters marched on Friday from Fatah Mosque in the Ramsis area heading to Rabaa al-Adaweya Square to join the demonstrating masses at the mosque.

The marching demonstrators chanted slogans supporting Mursi and the Islamic Sharia. Some carried Mursi's pictures and banners demanding his return to power.

Traffic in the Ramsis area was jammed due to the number of buses preparing to transport demonstrators to Rabaa Mosque, the Middle East News Agency reported.
