CAIRO, Jan 3 (Aswat Masriya) - Police forces fired teargas bombs at a pro-Muslim Brotherhood march on the Nile Corniche in Cairo's Maadi after they had attempted to cut the road in front of the Supreme Constitutional Court, the state-run Middle East News Agency reported.
A group for Brotherhood supporters marched from a mosque in Maadi after the Friday prayer and headed to the Nile Corniche to cut the road at the court.
Security forces tear-gassed the demonstrators to disband them.
The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy, which backs ousted Islamist President Mohamed Mursi, has called for demonstrations on Friday to protest against the continuous escalation against supporters of the Brotherhood.
The protests also aim to voice support for Mursi whose trial on charges of killing protesters and espionage will take place on 8 January.
