A Cairo criminal court summoned on Saturday ex-Interior Minister Mansour al-Essawi and ex-military commander Hamdy Badeen to testify on last December’s clashes on November 29.
The court also summoned current chief of presidential guards Mohamed Ahmed Zaki who served as forces commander during the events, reported a local newspaper.
The court ordered the release of all defendants who were arrested during the "Cabinet" clashes where 20 people were killed including the iconic revolutionary Azhar Sheikh Emad Effat.
