CAIRO, June 19 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's foreign ministry denounced on Thursday the Israeli operations in the occupied West Bank, which came in reaction to the kidnapping of three teenage settlers last week, said an official statement.

"These operations may lead to further loses and injuries among the Palestinians, especially with the air-strikes, house demolitions and arrests, which would destabilise security even more in the area."

The Egyptian ministry urged the Israeli forces to "maintain self-control so that the situation does not develop into an unjustified violence," holding the Israeli authorities responsible for any consequences resulting from these military operations.

Egypt said that it fully supports the Palestinian leadership and its keenness on "controlling the situation so that it can answer to the needs of the Palestinian people."

Israel has arrested more than 65 Palestinians since the three teenagers disappeared and accused Hamas Islamists of kidnapping them.
