Egypt’s Cassation Court has turned down an appeal by former Prosecutor General Abdel Maguid Mahmoud to annul a constitutional decree removing him from his position, which was issued by President Mohamed Mursi on November 21.
The court set July 2 to hear all the appeals filed by him and the new prosecutor-general, Talaat Abdullah, and the State Lawsuits Authority in the case.
