An Egyptian prosecutor ordered on Saturday that the 25 Ultras Ahlawy fans charged with vandalizing the airport be released if not charged with any other crimes.
The defendants’ attorney insisted that they do not belong to any political factions and have no relation with current events.
He added that they have paid for the damage they caused at Cairo Airport after they were accused of raiding a lounge with fireworks and attacking security forces.
A prosecutor had ordered that they be detained after they were arrested in clashes by the airport.
