Interior Minister reassures Copts ahead of Eastern Christmas

CAIRO, Jan 2 (Aswat Masriya) - Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim has reassured Egypt's Copts, saying that their celebrations on the Eastern Christmas which takes places on 7 January will be secured.

The ministry will not allow any outlaw to disrupt the celebrations of Copts and will secure churches.

At a press conference he held today, the minister urged Egyptians to rally on 25 January to commemorate the 2011 revolution.

Ibrahim also said that Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Ali Beshr is in Egypt and has not left the country.
