CAIRO, Feb 11 (Aswat Masriya) Unidentified gunmen killed an Egyptian traffic policeman in Ismailia on Tuesday morning, stealing his weapon, an eyewitness said.
Officer Ahmed Saber was working when he was approached by two masked assailants, on a motorcycle, who fired shots at him and stole his weapon before escaping.
The eyewitness added that Saber’s body has been sent to the morgue while forces have moved to scene and are searching the area.
Attacks on security forces have increased in Egypt since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July.
Egypt’s army deposed Mursi last year in response to mass demonstrations across the country.
