Egypt’s sitting volley ball team wins bronze medal at Rio 2016 Paralympics

CAIRO, Sept 18 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt’s sitting volley ball team won on Sunday a bronze medal at Rio 2016 Paralympics.

The team won against his Brazilian counterpart, with a result 3-2.

The Egyptian team won over Germany, US and Brazil and was qualified for the semi-finals.

But the team lost before its Bosnian counterpart on Saturday.

The Egyptian mission at the Paralympics, representing Egypt in five sports only including weightlifting, sitting volleyball for men, athletics, table tennis and swimming, has garnered 12 medals, three gold, five silver and four bronze.

The Paralympics, which involves athletes with disabilities, are taking place from Sept 7-18 in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro.
