CAIRO, Aug 20 (Aswat Masriya) - Germany's international  broadcaster Deutsche Welle announced on Friday the termination of a contract with an Egyptian freelance journalist after he incited against political activist and lawyer Mahinour al-Masry in a Facebook post.

Deutsche Welle said it investigated the incident and spoke with the freelancer, Nagi Abbas, who did not deny the validity of the post.

Last week, Abbas wrote a Facebook post calling on people "to kidnap" Masry or make her "drink quarter litre of acid and pour the rest on her face".

On her said, Masry said that Nagy "does not deserve the attention" as he seems to be a "revolution hater", referring to 2011 Uprising.

The German broadcaster said it "does not tolerate any form of such actions" and accordingly has taken legal steps to end his contract. Deutsche Welle said that it is "considering taking further legal action against him".

Earlier last week, Masry was released  after serving a 15 months prison term over charges of storming a police station and violating the protest law.
