CAIRO, Jul 25 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt strongly condemned on Monday a suicide bomb attack that took place in the city of Ansbach in Germany Sunday evening.
A 27 year old Syrian asylum seeker blew up himself outside a music festival in southern Germany and injured at least 15 people.
The suicide bomber has reportedly used a backpack bomb after being refused entry to the festival.
Germany has been hit by a spate of attacks over the past week.
Hours before the suicide bomb attack, a 21 year old Syrian refugee killed a pregnant woman and injured two others using a machete. He was arrested by German police, reported Reuters.
On July 22, a German-Iranian teenager shot dead nine people and wounded 27 others near a shopping mall in the city of Munich.
Last Monday, a teenage Afghan refugee attacked a train in Wuerzburg with an axe and knife, wounding five, leaving two in a critical condition. The police shot him dead later.
Egypt's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid stressed Egypt's stance in solidarity with German people and the government and urged the international community to take action against the "terrorism" phenomenon.
