CAIRO, Jul 18 (Aswat Masriya) - A delegation of British experts arrived in Egypt to inspect security measures at Cairo International Airport, state-run MENA reported.

The delegation, which includes five British aviation security experts, will issue a final report where they will evaluate the security situation at the airport at the end of their four-days visit.

The experts, who are aiming to inspect procedures to secure passengers and luggage, focused on reviewing security measures applied on two British Airways flights bound for London's Heathrow Airport.

In April, a Russian committee arrived in Egypt to inspect airports' security measures, five months after Moscow suspended flights with Egypt. It marked the second visit for Russian experts in 2016, after a Russian Aviation Authority delegation visited Egypt in January for the same reason.

Egypt's airport security came under the spotlight after the suspected bombing of a Russian passenger jet in Sinai in October 2015 killed all 224 people on board.

Following the crash, British and Russian governments banned their airlines from flying to Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh because of concerns about security at the local airport. In June, British Airways has extended its suspension of flights to Sharm al-Sheikh indefinitely.

Egypt's attempts to revive the tourism sector were dealt another blow in May when the Airbus A320 crashed into the Mediterranean, killing all 66 people on board.
