Egypt Air flight missing over the Mediterranean, 66 on board

National carrier EgyptAir said on Thursday that a plane carrying 66 persons went missing over the Mediterranean Sea while on a night flight from Paris to Cairo. 

"Flight MS804, which departed Paris at 23:09 (CEST), heading to Cairo has disappeared from radar," the airline said on its official Twitter account.

The Airbus A320 aircraft was carrying 56 passengers, including one child and two infants, and 10 crew, EgyptAir said.

The company said passengers include 30 Egyptians, 15 French, two Iraqis and one from each of Britain, Belgium, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Chad, Portugal, Algeria and Canada.
