CAIRO, Sept 28 (Aswat Masriya) - President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will be addressing world leaders in the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly meeting on Monday evening.

According to state-new agency MENA, Sisi's speech will tackle innovative ways of harnessing the energy of youth for development, combating extremist ideologies and the need for a coordinated international effort to counter this phenomenon.

Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with world leaders including the French President Francois Hollande, Yemeni President Abd Rabou Mansour Hadi, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and  Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus.

The Egyptian president met on Sunday UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Senegalese president Macky Sall and Dutch Prime Minister Marc Rotte.

During the meetings, Sisi reviewed the latest developments in Egypt, noting that Egypt was on the threshhold of completing the roadmap on the transition to democracy with parliamentary elections slated over the next two month.

This is the second time Sisi attends the UN General Assembly meetings since his election in June 2014.
