CAIRO, Feb 21 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's state television reported that Muslim Brotherhood elements cut off Abbas al-Akkad street in Cairo's Nasr City on Friday.

The street is located a few blocks away from Rabaa al-Adaweya Square where a sit-in to support former President Mohamed Mursi was held and later cleared last August.

The pro-Mursi National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy has called on its allies to rally starting Friday in what it called "Students are at the forefront of the revolution" week.

Abbas al-Akkad saw clashes between police forces and marching demonstrators.
