Two people were killed and 20 were injured in clashes across the country on Friday, a high ranking medical source said.

Ahmed al-Ansary, the head of the Ambulance Authority, told the state news agency that the causalities include one 12-year-old boy who was killed in clashes in Giza.

Seven people were injured in Sharqiya and one person in Behira while four were injured in Giza, Ansary said.

He added that four were also injured in Daqahilya and four others in Suez.

The interior ministry said that it arrested 19 “troublemakers” who belong to the Muslim Brotherhood in the clashes.

Violent confrontations between supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi and security forces erupted on Friday, where the two sides hurled rocks at each other in several provinces across the country.

An alliance of Mursi’s supporters had called for Friday demonstrations to denounce attacks on female protesters.
