CAIRO, Aug 31 (Aswat Masriya) - A "huge" fire in a paint factory killed 1 worker on Monday and injured 9 others in the Northern Egyptian city of Damietta, the state news agency MENA reported.

The fire has been extinguished and the injured were taken to hospital.

Another factory fire broke out in Qalyubia governorate, the northern tip of Greater Cairo but no injuries or deaths had been reported at the time of writing, MENA said, citing a local health official.

Firetrucks have been sent to control the flames, which started in the bottom floor of the building.

In July, a fire in a furniture factory in Qalyubia killed 26 people, after a butane cylinder exploded.
