The results of the Egyptian expatriates voting in the run-off of Egypt’s presidential election will be announced on Monday at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Kornish al-Nile, Ambassador Amr Roshdi, spokesperson of the ministry, said.
Voting abroad ended on June 9. According to Egyptian consulates and embassies, semi-final results show the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Mursi ahead of his opponent, ex-prime minister Ahmed Shafiq.
The ministry had announced earlier that the results announced are neither final nor accurate.
The Supreme Presidential Elections Commission (SPEC) will hold a conference on Monday morning to announce the results of the expatriates voting, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) quoted Roshdi as saying.
