ASWAN, Jan 5 (Aswat Masriya) - A conscript tasked with securing the state television's headquarters in Aswan committed suicide inside the building on Monday, said Aswan's security director.

Security Director Mohamed Mostafa told Aswat Masriya that the 23 year-old conscript shot himself inside a toilet in the headquarters. 

Eye-witnesses said the conscript headed to the toilet to wash for ablution. They added to Aswat Masriya that they heard gunshots inside the toilet. Heading inside, they found the conscript dead after he shot himself through the mouth.
