Egypt's Ministry of Interior has renewed its pledge to refrain from obstructing any peaceful demonstrations, adding that it will protect such demonstrations.
The ministry called on all pro-revolution powers to assume their national responsibilities.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the ministry stated that it will play its part in securing vital facilities and maintaining the stability and security of the country, adding that it will exert all efforts to prevent any security fallouts.
It also urged advocates and organizers of demonstrations to assume their responsibilities "in maintaining the safety of participants."
The ministry called on its men to be patient and exert efforts to carry out their duty towards their country and the security of all citizens.
Fifteen parties and political movements had called for organizing demonstrations on what they called "the Dream of the Martyr" Friday to express their outrage against a decree expanding President Mohamed Mursi's powers and shielding his decisions from judicial review.
