Six people were injured when violent clashes broke out on Friday between Damanhour residents and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted President Mohamed Mursi.

The two sides hurled stones and fireworks at each other.

Residents of Beheira's Damanhour arrested 14 people whom they said belong to the Brotherhood and handed them over to the police.

Three people were injured in clashes in Damanhour's Delengat after the city's residents clashed with a pro-Mursi march.
