Egypt's Salafist Call has said it will not participate in the celebrations for the January 25 Revolution anniversary that will take place within days.
The circumstances Egypt is going through can tolerate neither celebrations nor demonstrations, it added.
On its website, the call urged those who plan to demonstrate or celebrate on January 25 to "put aside those two" and extend condolences to the family of a martyr or treat a wounded person or propose a solution for the current crisis, in reference to the Badrashin train accident that left 19 dead on Tuesday.
The call whose political arm is the Salafi Nour Party called on the president, the prime minister, and the transport minister to swiftly implement measures that prevent such accidents from recurring.
The Salafist Call also urged political powers that intend to hold any events on January 25 to keep things peaceful.
