The Freedom and Justice Party's (FJP) newspaper headquarters in Cairo's Manial is besieged by anti-President Mohamed Mursi protesters, FJP Facebook page reported on Thursday.

Mursi opponents are currently organizing a protest at the building and chanting anti-party and Muslim Brotherhood slogans, Adel al-Ansari, editor in chief of the paper, said.

Al-Ansari said he fears the protest may turn violent and that protesters may attempt to break into the headquarters.

Mursi opponents and supporters clashed on Wednesday night around the presidential palace in Cairo. Both parties exchanged stones and gunfire which left six people dead and 693 injured.
