Democracy is the only solution for stability in a region that has for decades lived under a tyrannical rule, Amr Moussa, founder of the Conference Party and member of the oppositionist National Salvation Front, has said.
The only ones who can practice democracy and build it are the people, Moussa stated at a meeting with president of Columbia University and chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Lee C. Bollinger during his visit to Egypt.
The two discussed the developments of uprisings in the Arab Spring and their effects on the region and the whole world.
Bollinger invited Moussa to give a series of lectures at Columbia University in New York.
