Egypt to send reinforcements to contain Aswan violence

ASWAN, April 6 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's interior minister, Mohamed Ibrahim, said on Sunday that reinforcements will be sent to Aswan to contain violence that has so far killed 25 people.
Two people were killed and at least four were wounded when violent confrontations between rival tribes erupted again in Aswan on Sunday, a hospital source told Aswat Masriya.
These latest victims raised the death toll to 25 in clashes between Ben al-Helal and al-Dabodeya tribes that started on Friday in the Upper Egypt governorate of Aswan.
The interior minister said the situation is complicated because the majority of deaths are among one tribe, Egypt's state news agency said.
He added that the authorities are exerting their utmost effort with the tribes to reach a reconciliation.
